Piping Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Review piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings for process and utility systems.
• Review pipe stress analysis (static & dynamic) report to ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, API, and project specifications.
• Review piping materials, valves, gaskets, and fittings suitable for corrosive chemicals (e.g., chlorine, caustic soda, HCl, EDC).
• Ensure proper material compatibility for Chlor-Alkali and EDC service, considering corrosion, pressure, and temperature effects.
• Review piping specifications, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
• Check and approve vendor documents for piping equipment (valves, strainers, special fittings, expansion joints, etc).
• Support construction teams in the installation of piping systems, ensuring work follows isometric drawings, P&IDs, and standards.
• Conduct site inspections, punch-listing, and field engineering for piping installation and modifications.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation teams and other related disciplines for interface management.
• Ensure constructability reviews (using 3D modeling software)

Qualifications :

• Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7-10 years of Piping Engineer in EPC Project Oil & Gas or Petrochemical.
• Well known about fabrication, erection, welding QA/QC and comissioning of piping for petrochemical or oil & gas process industry
• Good knowledge in preparation of engineering spesifications and job instruction for piping designs, materials, insulation, painting etc.
• Good knowledge in Plant layout planning and detailed Piping Design in view of Construction, Process Flow Scheme, Machinery Operation etc.
• Strong coordination work with Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electrical interfacing
• Proficient using MS Office, Piping software, Navis work/3D model Program, ACAD etc. 
• Fluent in English both spoken and written

Willing to work as contract based (1 year), and this position will be placed at site office project.
