Job Summary:

 

An Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design and maintenance of electrical systems for the chemical plant processes. This role works to assure reliability in keeping everything up and running. This includes troubleshooting when problems arise, or planning preventative maintenance programs to help eliminate issues from occurring.

 

Detailed Task:

 

  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and recommend solutions to avoid recurring issues
  • Track repair and maintenance issues with plant electrical systems to ensure completion
  • Evaluate current preventative/predictive maintenance program to identify areas of improvement
  • Review electrical system inspection and maintenance reports
  • Develop and implement improvements in electrical maintenance program to improve electrical system reliability
  • Review and document electrical system coordination studies
  • Participate actively in safety programs and promote safety rules

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 Years relevant experience
  • Have good understanding in: Power system distribution and Power system analysis, IEC and IEEE code standard, Equipment selection and sizing / installation and testing, QA/QC for electrical equipment control and inspection
  • Specialist on large motor starting analysis and familiar with large motor application
  • Be able to calculate/estimate MP and prepare construction schedule
  • Experience in site construction management for electrical work.
  • Experience in explosion proof equipment installation and substation design
  • Familiar with 3D model review/ program
