DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
  • Responsible to check that all payments has been made to vendor/contractor/suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Provide planning and cost controlling management for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of progress (milestone or progress)
  • Co-ordinate with Project Scheduler and Document controller to monitor and update the latest expenditure forecast
  • Co-ordinate for Masterlist (Import duty exemption) application with Government Relations Team
  • Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
  • Prepare monthly expenditure report to the project director and management.
  • Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
  • Attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT and external clients
  • Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
  • Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT team as and when required.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance or Industrial Engineering or relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in cost control
  • Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid networking and interpersonal skills
  • Able to generate budgets and actual spending reports
  • Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately
  • Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads
  • Creative thinking skills and ability to solve problems
  • Candidate must possess good analytical skills for forecasting payment schedules
  • Willing to be based at Cilegon
